SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence against Christian Longo, who killed his wife and three children on the Oregon coast.
The 32-year-old was sentenced in 2003 to death by lethal injection for killing his wife, MaryJane Longo, and their children, four-year-old Zachery, three-year-old Sadie and two-year-old Madison.
He dumped their bodies into coastal waters at Christmas time in 2001.
Longo was once one of the most wanted fugitives in America. He fled to Mexico after the murders and the FBI caught him at a beach resort. Longo had partied and snorkeled, and was romantically involved with a German tourist.
Longo is one of 33 men on Oregon's death row, although it could be a long time before he is put to death.
