PORTLAND, Ore. - Dozens of Siamese cats will soon be up for adoption after they were rescued from a home in Boring.

The owner, Phyllis Schroeder, was recently admitted to a care facility and passed away on Tuesday.  The Oregon Humane Society is currently taking care of the cats.  There are 37 total.

The cats are in fair condition and range from 4 weeks old to adult age.  Before they can go up for adoption, they will undergo a medical examination, be vaccinated, get spayed or neutered and evaluated for temperament.  The cats could be available for adoption as early as next week, depending on their health.
