PORTLAND, Ore. - Costco and Kroger, which owns Fred Meyer and QFC, are recalling ground beef sold under store brands in more than a dozen states.

The meat was produced by the JBS Swift Beef Company of Colorado and may be contaminated with E. coli.

Costco is sending letters to its customers notifying them of the recall and the company is telling folks they can return the products for a full refund.
