Leaburg, Ore., man one of two killed in Arizona plane crash
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities on Tuesday released the identities of two men killed in the fiery crash of a small plane at Prescott Municipal Airport.
A spokesman for the city of Prescott says the victims were 66-year-old Thomas Armor of Los Angeles, who was the plane's pilot and owner, and 74-year-old Marvin Loper of Leaburg, Ore.
Authorities say the single-engine Piper Comanche developed some kind of problem minutes after takeoff Monday afternoon and the pilot tried to return to the airport, but the plane crashed short of a runaway and burned.
