OREGON CITY, Ore. - Two 15-year-olds boys have been accused of throwing rocks and cinder blocks onto Highway 99E south of here Saturday morning, damaging a number of cars.

The teens were cited to appear in Clackamas County Juvenile Court on criminal mischief charges, the Oregon State Police said.

Authorities believe someone was throwing the items onto the highway from a cliff between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday. After police responded to the scene, they saw rocks and cinder blocks - some as large as baseballs - on the northbound lanes.

Officers went to a home near the spot, found the two teens, cited them and released them to their parents.

Police believe there may be more victims whose cars were damaged. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call OSP Recruit Trooper Cameron Bailey at (503) 731-3020, ext. 445.
