Search resumed for man whose dogs returned
GASTON, Ore. - The family of a missing Washington County man won't give up their search. And they're not the only ones.
Searchers continued to scour the forest outside of Gaston this weekend, keeping up the effort after the search reportedly was called off earlier this week. The search is for Kenneth Thies Jr., .a Cherry Grove man who has been missing since Sunday, Nov. 8.
Thies Jr. vanished while walking his dogs in the Lee Falls area of western Washington County. On Monday, Nov. 9, Thies Jr.'s dogs returned home without him, and on Tuesday his sister reported him missing.
Sergeant Bob Ray of the Washington County Sheriff's Office, said more than 100 volunteers along with the sheriff's search and rescue team concentrated on the Gales Creek area of
Gaston over this weekend. Washington County Search and Rescue teams began looking for the 48-year-old man Tuesday afternoon and have since been joined by rescue crews from Multnomah, Yamhill and Tillamook counties.
Meanwhile, new clues have emerged thanks to these on-going search efforts. The video below has the full story.
