PERUGIA, Italy (AP) - Italian prosecutors have begun their closing arguments in the trial of Amanda Knox, the Seattle woman accused of killing her British roommate.

Prosecutors are expected to outline evidence they have presented in the trial against the former University of Washington student and her Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.

They are charged with murder and sexual violence in the 2007 killing of Meredith Kercher in Perugia. They deny wrongdoing. Both have been jailed for more than two years and were in court Friday.

The eight-member jury is expected to issue a verdict in early December.

Knox and Sollecito could face life in prison if convicted of murder.
