OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) - Bail has been set at more than $500,000 dollars for a 28-year-old man being held Sunday following a six-hour standoff with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrested Jason Duane Hogan late Saturday night after the standoff closed Sunnyside Road in the Happy Valley area.
Hogan was charged with burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, eluding police, resisting arrest, theft and other charges.
During the course of the standoff, deputies fired 20 canisters of gas into the residence, while negotiators tried to talk Hogan into surrendering.
Police said Hogan was found in an attic crawl space in an adjoining apartment.
During the incident, deputies caused damage to the complex in their search for Hogan.
Deputies said they will likely pay for the damage. However, Clackamas County could try to get Hogan to pay for the damage, though they believe getting a check from him would likely be tough.
