Memorial held for woman killed in wrong-way crash
VANCOUVER, Wash. - A memorial service was held Thursday for a 21-year-old woman who died in a wrong-way crash on State Route 14 over the weekend.
Jessica Blanck and Kristyne Shaddix were on their way home to Camas early Sunday morning after celebrating Shaddix's 21st birthday.
Their car was struck head-on by a van going west in the eastbound lanes. Both Blanck and Shaddix (pictured on the right) were killed in the crash.
A memorial for Kristyne Shaddix is planned for Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Church in Vancouver.
The wrong-way driver, 37-year-old Theresa Nickleby, remains hospitalized and is in good condition. She suffered internal and leg injuries.
