FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Forest Grove High School is closing for at least the day.

The Washington County School District sent out an alert late Wednesday morning stating a pipe containing coolant had burst, leaking coolant onto food that was being prepared for school lunches.

However, it was later determined that the problem originated from a refrigerator coil and that no coolant had leaked onto food. What came out was unpotable water, but it was not toxic.

Buses will transport students who normally ride the bus. The kitchen will be sanitized, and officials said Forest Grove High School will reopen at its regular time Thursday.

More school closures.
