A bicyclist whizzes past a Portland police officer packing up the mangled bike of another bicyclist injured by a hit-and-run driver on this Willamette Boulevard stretch a few hours earlier on Saturday night.

PORTLAND, Ore. - A driver hit a man riding a bike in North Portland Saturday night, and then took off.

The cyclist was struck at the intersection of Willamette Boulevard and Bryant Street just after 5:30 p.m. The cyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries that police said are not life threatening.

Now police say the suspected hit-and-run driver is under arrest.

A pickup truck driver was arrested about two hours later. Police said Lilifi Toutai faces a charge of hit and run.
