White-power gang leader gets 7-year term

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A founding member of the European Kindred white supremacist prison gang has been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to providing a firearm to a convicted felon.

David Patrick Kennedy was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2008 after the .357-caliber revolver was stolen and then transferred in Portland in December 2007.

Federal prosecutors said the 41-year-old Kennedy was sentenced Monday in Portland with 30-year-old Christina Marie Allen, who also pleaded guilty to the same charge.

Allen, who married Kennedy last year while he was in custody, was ordered to serve four years on probation.
