Judge's son guilty of fleeing crash scene
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) – The 19-year-old son of a Snohomish County Superior Court judge has pleaded guilty to drunk driving and fleeing from a crash that injured an Edmonds police officer this past year.
Peter Anthony Lucas was sentenced Friday to seven months in jail. However, one month was converted to community service and two months will be served via electronic monitoring. He also may qualify for work release for the remaining four months.
Lucas is the son of Superior Court Judge Eric Lucas.
His attorney said Lucas had been drinking on New Year's Day 2009, and got scared when the officer attempted to stop him.
Prosecutors alleged that Lucas rammed an Edmonds police officer's car during the pursuit, leaving the officer with neck injuries.
