PORTLAND, Ore. - A number of dogs were seized from a north Portland home on Friday as part of an investigation into alleged dog fighting.

The home is located in the 8000 block of North Seward Avenue. The seized dogs, 11 of them (pictured at the bottom of this story), are being held at a local animal shelter.

Equipment commonly used in dog fighting was also found inside the home, occupied by 38-year-old Robert Lee Sheahart.  Police had originally gone to the home to serve a warrant for other charges.

According to police, Sheahart ran a company called 'Dead Game Kennels' and the Web site promoted dog fighting and betting.
