Two-alarm fire ignites at Gaston-area mill

GASTON, Ore. - It took about an hour for firefighters to control a two-alarm blaze that ignited at the Stimson Lumber mill near here Sunday.

Crews responded to the mill at 49800 S.W. Scoggins Valley Road about 11:30 a.m. The blaze went to a second alarm about noon and was called under control about 12:30 p.m.

It was not immediately clear how much damage the fire caused or whether anyone was injured. 

The mill is located near Henry Hagg Lake.
