PORTLAND, Ore. – One man died and three others were taken to a hospital after a crash in North Portland Wednesday morning.
It happened at 6:30 a.m. at N. Argyle Way and Columbia Boulevard.
According to Portland Fire Bureau spokesman Damon Simmons, four men were in the pickup truck when it crashed into a pole. One man in the back seat died at the scene.
Two men were taken to a hospital with traumatic injuries, according to police. Firefighters had to cut the truck to remove one of the survivors.
The fourth was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
It’s unclear what caused the crash.
The intersection of N. Columbia and Argyle is expected to be closed for several hours.
