PORTLAND, Ore. – A Siberian Husky named Tuesday was found safe Saturday night in Vancouver, Wash. after police said she was stolen outside a Portland restaurant on Friday.
Police said an unidentified person in Vancouver called them and said a family member brought Tuesday to their home and left her there. They recognized the dog from media coverage, police said.
Police gave Tuesday a ride back to Sprenger in Portland.
Sunday evening, police arrested 47-year-old Aaron Delagarza in connection with the theft. Police took him to the Multnomah County Jail where he faces one count of theft.
Tuesday's owner, 28-year-old Joel Sprenger, told police that he was inside the restaurant while Tuesday was tied up outside on Friday.
Sprenger said he checked on her several times before he realized she was missing.
Police said surveillance video showed a man walk over to Tuesday, untie her and sit with her. He then walked away with the dog on Kilpatrick Street.
