Bandon Dunes Golf Resort doing well, despite the bad economy

BANDON, Ore. - Even though the weather may not always be the greatest for golf, Bandon Dunes has stayed pretty consistent this year when compared with years past.

Bandon Dunes General Manager Hank Hickox says they are weathering the economic storm fairly well.  He says golfers are a strange breed and always seem to set time aside to play golf.

But he also adds that although they are doing well, they are still keeping a close eye on economic factors that have the ability to change that.

Bandon Dunes is opening up a new course in 2010 called Old McDonald, which Hickox believes will boost tourism on the South Coast.
