Documentary claims Amazon.com workers in Germany mistreated

BERLIN (AP) - Online retailer Amazon says it will investigate reports that temporary staff at its logistics centers in Germany were subjected to a climate of intimidation.
A documentary aired Wednesday by German public television station ARD showed dozens of staff hired by temp agencies on Amazon's behalf complaining of grim conditions.
Some told ARD they had to work 15 days at a stretch, were paid less than promised and intimidated by security staff wearing clothes linked to Germany's neo-Nazi scene.
Amazon spokeswoman Ulrike Stoecker told The Associated Press in an email Thursday the company "tolerates no discrimination or intimidation" and would investigate the allegations.
The German union ver.di says Amazon workers have for years complained of intense pressure, random searches and short breaks.

Stereotyping germans is pc
I have had seveal employers in my life, and no matter how good the conditions, there are those that would still complain. Germany has some of the best empoloyment laws in the world and most paid days off along with guranteed jobs. I work for this ass clown now that makes me work between 60-70hrs a week, and 100hr weeks are not abnormal. But at least he lets me sleep with his wife! Ah.... the beauty of self employment!
Did Amazon do something to irritate the American media? They are always in someone's crosshairs.Â
Slow day at KATU headquarters..........yawn..........
Waaaah. Sounds like being in the military
Sounds almost as bad as conditions here.
