Meet the Sweet 16! Semi-finalists advance to Startup PDX Challenge finals

The field has been narrowed.

Sixteen startups will advance to the finals of the Startup PDX Challenge, a business competition cooked up by the Portland Development Commission to support promising business with $10,000 in cash, free space in Portland's Central Eastside Industrial District, aka Produce Row, and professional mentoring.

The 16 semi-finalists were selected from a pool of 240 candidates. They include 15 Portland area firms and one from Eugene.

The city's economic development agency will announce six winners on May 29 with the winning firms slated to move into Produce Row in late June.
