PORTLAND, Ore. - A Southeast Portland neighborhood is losing another grocery store.
The Safeway at Southeast 82nd and Burnside, one of the oldest in Portland, will close March 30.
According to Safeway, the employees who work there are being relocated to other stores. They added that another business, yet to be announced, will be taking over the building.
The store has been there since 1967. Safeway is not disclosing the reason they decided to shut down that location.
Another neighborhood grocery store, Food 4 Less at Southeast 82nd and Powell, went out of business just two months ago.
