PORTLAND, Ore. – Grocery chain Trader Joe’s is voluntarily recalling a certain kind of peanut butter over health concerns.
The stores have pulled all jars of Trader Joe's brand Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter and said it may be contained with salmonella.
In a post on their website, the chain said they have pulled the product "due to pending health-related inquiries" and "out of an abundance of caution."
There have been no reports of illness connected with the product.
Trader Joe’s is asking customers to return the product to stores for a full refund or just throw the product away.
Dear KATU,
please run your stories past your editor (unless he's got a hangover from attending all the food and drink festivals).
Your stories contain way too many typos and inaccuracies.
And while I'm at it, could you explain what you meant in the second paragraph of the story: "...may be contained with salmonella"? Could you try "contaminated" instead, in the interests of clarity only, of course.
"...off shelves over salmonella"? I never realized they kept salmonella on shelves, even lower ones.Â
thank god the crunchy version is ok
