Vote for which startups should receive city money

Vote for which startups should receive city money

Your vote will help decide which startup companies will advance in a new city of Portland startup program and use taxpayer dollars in the hopes of finding success.  You have until Thursday, May 9 to voice your opinion.

If you haven’t heard about the city’s new program Startup PDX: Challenge check out my previous blog post. Here's the bottom line: up to six startups will receive a $10,000 working capital grant from the Portland Development Commission, a full year of rent-free office space in Portland’s Produce Row and free professional advice and services.

The city announced 16 semi-finalists this week:

•    Alum.ni
•    OnTheGo Platforms
•    Smart Mocha
•    Walker Tracker
•    Space View
•    Newsti.ps
•    Society 43
•    Seamus Golf
•    Shine On Rainwear
•    Safi Water Technology
•    Edison Gauss Publishing
•    Measureful
•    Ento
•    ClutchPlay Games
•    ActivEd
•    CoPatient

Again, deadline to vote is Thursday. Get to it!  Winners will be announced to the public May 29.
