Self-defense training is being driven by parents of kids in the Vancouver school district, hoping to give them the tools to get themselves out of dangerous situations.This sprang from the February death of teenager Alycia Nipp in Hazel Dell, allegedly murdered by a homeless man. Parents began asking the Vancouver school district to look into a self-defense program called 'Just Yell Fire' - aimed at young girls.
