Gayberry R.F.D.
Marriage is between a man & a women. Â Anything else is a fraud....therefore they are not married.

Â
If you don't like gay marriage don't get one. Who cares? It's really none of your business
 @Scot Castle  @sortbait It should be everybody's business.
Jim  being gay was about the worse kept secret right behind Ellen being gay and just ahead of Barry Manilow
well golleeeeeeeeeee geeeeeee
Dang! I didn't even know he was still kickin'!
Congratulations!
Bravo! Congratulations!
Shazam! Congrats Jim!
All I can say is "eeeewwww"
He married Goober?
Suprise, suprise!
Surprise
Well we aint in Mayberry any more
Â
 @Pvpbw Who said there weren't gays in Mayberry?
Why does this have to mention that he married his "male" partner? What's wrong with just saying he married his long time partner of 38 years?
 @Mimi I don't think this is even newsworthy, much less should be advertised, but there you have it...
 @Mimi what's wrong with saying he married his male partner?
Because that is what the Liberal Media does. Just get use to it.
 @MrAchilles I didn't realize that Katu was liberal media.
I didn't know Goober's real name was Stan Cadwallader. SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE!
Well Gooolie!!!
Good for them..! Â I hope they enjoy many more happy years together..! Â :-)
Live and let live, folks... life is too short to spend it minding someone else's business...
 @margay1Â
laws are everyone's business.
She wasn't talking about laws moron.She was indicating that it would be nice if people would mind their own business.It does get tiresome having christians like you sticking their nose where it really shouldn't belong.Got it?
 @Reeldeal101
No doubt he's applying for that job in WA.
 @noneofyourbizznessÂ
Maybe if you actually made good arguments instead of anti-religious rants you might get taken seriously.
Â
It is ALL about a SSM LAW that just got passed and about a public figure flying in from his home state to get married in WA because of their new LAW that let's him do something that isn't LEGAL where he lives. Are you getting it yet?
 @noneofyourbizzness ......Nice.....insulting comments and Marijuana leaf for an avatar......obviously you are an aspiring politician then eh?
Then why are they throwing it in our faces??
 @disgustedmanÂ
Â
Why do you care? Are you afraid it's catching?
 @disgustedman They're not. You chose to read the article.I don't find their behavior any more disgusting than Lohan or a Kardashian product.
 @KillsGermsOnContactÂ
Â
I don't care what consenting adults choose to do with each other. If you believe in freedom and personal choice neither should you.
Really, you don't find two men having anal sex to be disgusting?
 @disgustedman Um, why do Brad Pitt and Angelina through their hetersosexual relationship in our faces? Why does Larry King's marriages get thrown in our faces? Because they are a public figure, the media chooses to publicize about the relationships of public figures. Go figure.
I've always liked Jim Neighbors. Always will. This does remind me of one of his lines though. "Shame,shame,shame"
 @last boyscout Shame for managing to pull off being with the same person for 38 years?  What's shameful about that?  Do you have that good a track record?  I don't.
@Sundowner
Sundowner Nice spin of my words champ. I just remember him saying something like "for shame, for shame, for shame". It was funny when he'd say it. Again, I really like the guy. GD beautiful singing voice too.
Â
 @last boyscout Sorry for the misinterpretation...rough night.  You're right about his voice.....but dang, it was hard to listen to when it came out of a face that was always so goofy and, frankly, dumb-looking.  Talk about an actor who got stereotyped based on one character!
As I reflect on the old time wholesome shows from the past, I now will always have to wonder if Gomer was checking out Andy's package during the show and it will not quite be the same.
 @Pointblank OMG that made me laugh hysterically....Thanks.
 @Pointblank Naw, I think think it would be more likely that Gomer was looking for Barney's "Fife"
"Nabors is 82 years old. Cadwallader is in his late 60s. "
Â
Wow a 22 year difference. Pyle likes 'em young dosen't he?
Â
:)
Â
 @Repoman Cadwallader is 64 so 18 year difference to be exact and since they met in 75 that would have made them around 26 and 44.  Bit of an age gap but the fact they have been together for going on 38 years is pretty amazing.
 @BodagrisÂ
Â
LOL I dind't look up the man's age, I just took it as 60.
Â
Â
 @Repoman LOL! I was thinking the same thing.  Got himself a boy toy!  Those darned gold diggers.  Once you hit 60 though, it's pretty much all the same up to 90 these days I guess.
Â
 @negativerepÂ
Â
Yeah you know that young fellows after him for his money.
Â
I bet he made SO MUCH green working in TV in that day.
Â
Goooolly!
Â
Â
Huh... don't care about whom this actor marries any more than any other. Â He portrayed some fun characters a long long long time ago but I have a feeling the media isn't reporting on this as an actual marriage announcement.
Here's what will be suspiciously missing from the comments. Those that commented about Hugh Hefner marrying the younger girl, with comments like: eeewwww, ick, wrinkled skin, harry this or that , any of the (old skin/wrinkled body comments) etc....My guess is that every one of those particular posters will have nothing bad to say about this situation. Which makes them hypocrites.
 @last boyscout My disgust with Hugh Hefner came decades before now.  The guy's a slime....but I don't care who he marries.  If the age gap doesn't bother them, that's all that counts.
Now hold on a minute... these 2 met 38 Years ago, not yesterday... Hefner meets a young girl and marries her the next year. Not even in the same ballpark. 18 years difference and adding 38 years ago is just not the same. Hefner is 86 years old and his new wife is 26, huge huge difference.  And they barely know each other. I have read some books about the playboy mansion and what the girls that live there have to do to stay, and it is sickening. I am happy for Jim Nabors, he has always been one of my favorite characters from the late 60's sitcoms.
 @MrAchilles Hey, good luck to both of them. My point was the nature of the comments when it concerned an older male and a younger female. That particular combination seems to bother certain folks. Not too long ago, a marital difference in race was nearly impossible, now it's no big deal. So my point, just because there's an age difference, it's eeewww, ick and old skin? Think about it, different races or different ages, who are you or I to pass judgement if they're both happy with the arraignment? Or, did 1950 just call and ask for it's age discrimination back....:-)
 @last boyscout I get your point but a 20 something gap in age doesn't sound quite a bad as a 60 year!.
