Ben Affleck won't run for US Senate in Mass.

BOSTON (AP) — Ben Affleck is taking his name off the list of possible candidates for U.S. Sen. John Kerry's seat, which would be open if the Democratic senator from Massachusetts is confirmed as secretary of state.
Affleck says in a Monday posting on his Facebook page that while he loves the political process, he will not be running for public office.
Speculation about the Cambridge, Mass., native rose slightly when he did not completely rule out a Senate bid during an appearance on CBS' Face The Nation on Sunday.
In his Facebook posting, Affleck says he would continue working with the Eastern Congo Initiative, a nonprofit organization that helps direct humanitarian aid to the war-torn region, and for other causes.
Affleck says Kerry would make a great secretary of state.

Uh, here's an idea guys: instead of worrying about what is going on 1/2 way around the world, why don't you worry first about what is going on in your own country, state, county, city or neighborhood FIRST? Â It's easy for Kerry and Affleck to overlook the deprivation of their fellow citizens, because, after all, THEY are comfortable and can indulge themselves with the problems of others far, far away. Â That really IMHO is a fundamental failing of our system. Â It is funded by, sworn to serve, and accountable to... US citizens. Â Stop being damn globalists and worry about your own country for a change.
Ben should be Sec of State and do some good will hunting. Yikes Ben, stick to your attempts at acting. Kerry, well... I can only hope he doesn't get confirmed. He's not a big supporter of American interest.
THANK GOD
@Solipsist01 Why?
@peckishpete....why do people believe that because they are good at one thing they would naturally be good at something else. It's like when people say Jon Stewart would bge a good politician....no, he wouldn't.....he's a good comedian...he should stick to what he's good at. Ben isn't even a good actor...
