Chevy Chase leaving NBC's sitcom 'Community'

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The NBC series "Community" will finish the season without Chevy Chase.
Sony Pictures Television said Wednesday that the actor is leaving the sitcom by mutual agreement with producers.
His immediate departure means he won't be included in the last episode or two of the show's 13-episode season, which is still in production.
Chase had a rocky tenure playing a bored and wealthy man who enrolls in community college. The actor publicly expressed unhappiness at working on a sitcom and feuded last year with the show's creator and former executive producer, Dan Harmon.
The fourth-season premiere of "Community" is Feb. 7, when it makes a delayed return to the 8 p.m. EST Thursday time slot. The show's ensemble cast includes Joel McHale and Donald Glover.

Chevy Chase? I remember him when he used to be funny . . . but that was a long time ago. Now he's just another fat, un-funny liberal "entertainer" who really should keep his mouth shut and live out the rest of his life in obscurity.
Good, Chevy hasn't displayed talent since the early 1980s.
Chevy was funny for about 5 minutes in Caddy Shack but he was always upstaged by Bill Murray and that will always be his legacy; resenting that fact that he was never the funniest character on any stage.Â
Â
Chevy was only on SNL for the first season and his best stuff was his physical comedy...I love to see Chevy fall....and weekend update where he played a condescending misogynist not much acting there.
@Icarus Chevy and Bill both tend to be "dry humor" ..   Â
Never heard of it Never seen the show, Never heard of Chevy Chase?
@lee986321 Wow, where have you been Lee? Or are you just too young to know who some of the older comedians are?  Chevy Chase has been around for a long time. Best known as a comedian.. Saturday night live, National lampoons Vacation (there was 3 movies made)  Â
Â
He's kinda back aways, John Belushi, John Candy etc..Â
@Khre'Riov Ael i-Mhiessan t'Rllaillieu Happy Thanksgiving, m'friend! Hope you had a great day with the family. I couldn't get into "Community" but I've always been a Chevy Chase fan. "Fletch" is one of the funniest movies ever -- great on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Ever see "Foul Play" with him & Goldie Hawn? Dated, but quite entertaining. =)
@badcat Hope you had a great turkey also BC! Yes, we have the Foul play! Have the one with John Candy in it also.. that one is funny and weird! Can't think of the name right off hand. We have the vacation movies also.Â
Â
One of the things I have done is make sure we have some of the older stuff movie (and music) wise. My son actually likes Charlton Heston, John Wayne..   exposed them to a lot of music too..  At least they know who the actors are and singers! Â
.....going to rehab, perhaps?
Well if there was a reason to watch the show (and i haveb't had one) this would end it.
Â
Wow.... never saw it.
