'Jackass' star didn't mean harm with puppy prank

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - "Jackass" star Bam Margera says he condemns animal abuse and didn't mean any harm by a photo posted online showing him holding his pit bull puppy with a toy gun pointed to its head.
The 33-year-old Margera had posted the photo on Twitter, saying that if the dog made a mess in his bed again "Penny goes Bye Byes." The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Margera says he loves animals and wished he had made it more clear the gun was fake.
Margera, who is from suburban Philadelphia, says it was a joke.
Chester County SPCA officials, however, say it wasn't funny, even for a shock comedian like Margera. SPCA spokesman Rich Britton says Margera "missed the mark on this one."

no orange barrel and doesn't look painted. Probably is a real gun.
I agree. Not a big deal. Remember the National Lampoon cover with the picture of the dog with a gun pointed at its head with the inscription "If you don't buy this magazine we'll shoot this dog."? I thought that was funny.
Man people need to get their panties out of a bunch. It was a joke for gods sake. He also posted about a half dozen other pictures of friends and family that would go "bye bye", but you didnt hear about any of those.
I think Bam was shooting for something funny like this...... but failed

I find it funny. Â Yes, that is a toy gun (I have an actual 1911 and there are several differences). Â Some people are too offended by simple imagery. Â The puppy is oblivious to the joke nor is it being physically harmed so what's the real problem? Â Offended by the image of a (toy) firearm?
Â
"Jackass".
Â
Kinda says it all, doesn't it?
That gun is not fake.
I hear that they can implant a sense of humor at birth now. Â No need to go through life with the stigma of humor impairment. Â
Â
Clearly the practice has not yet become widespread.
If Penny made a mess in his bed, perhaps Margera should not have pee'd in the bed first?
Rich Britton needs to find better things to do. He's just happy to get his name in the press over nothing. What a waste of "news."
Â
This is stupid. I want my 30 seconds back... I am an animal lover and find no harm in this dumb prank. They REALLY should have left the last 2 sentences off of the article. Makes the SPCA spokesman look like a tard.
Not a big deal, but not funny either.
