Miley Cyrus trespasser sentenced to 18 months

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man convicted of trespassing at Miley Cyrus' Los Angeles home has been sentenced to a year and a half in jail.
Superior Court Judge Dennis Mulcahy sentenced Jason Luis Rivera to the jail term Friday. A jury convicted Rivera of misdemeanor trespassing and resisting arrest one day earlier.
The 40-year-old has been jailed since his arrest on Sept. 8. Authorities say he was caught at Cyrus' home carrying a pair of scissors.
Police say Rivera told officers he was a friend of the singer-actress and he repeatedly threw himself against an outside wall as if trying to break in.
Cyrus was not home during the incident.

The scissors he was carrying explain everything, as he was most likely just waiting to help her with that abominable hair cut.
