Find sex offender treatment providers near you
You can find a database of treatment providers for sex offenders on the State of Oregon's website. Just follow these steps:
- Go to the state public records finder database
- Under "Board," click "STB - Sex Offender Treatment Board"
- Under "License Type," click "T- Certified Clinical Therapist"
- Under "Status," click "Active."
- Set any geographic parameters, such as city or county
- Hit "start search"
The report that pops up will list all of the sex offender treatment providers in the area you have searched for.
Thank you for the support, Tom.

I would like to point out that the information provided in this "article" is not incredibly accurate. The list generated by this search only tells you what city and zip the therapist has listed on his/her licence. This could be based on the therapist's home address, a PO box, or another office that they work from. It does not mean the person is practicing in that area, and it is not a reliable way to find out if there is a sex offender treatment center in your area.Â
An open letter to:Â Â
Â
Office of the Governor for the state of OregonÂ
The Office of the Oregon Attorney General,Â
The Office of Mayor for the City of Portland,Â
The Prosecutors Offices for Multnomah CountyÂ
The Prosecutors Offices for the City of PortlandÂ
and justice minded citizens in the State of Oregon:Â Â
Â
It is requested of the Oregon Attorney Generalâs office that a public statement be made as to its confidence in Oregonâs sex offender treatment provider operations and locations in various communities in the state. As I do not need to remind those who work for justice in Oregon, there comes a time when government must speak out against âmob justiceâ in their exercising the extremist politics of bullying those rightful and legitimate businesses by these same under-informed and clueless Portland area citizens. Â Â
Â
In the last several weeks, a growing number of Oregonâs sex offender treatment providers are under increasing public attention regarding their physical locations in proximity to where children congregate (child care providers, schools, and other childrensâ activities). The Portland TV news media has been able to manufacture ânewsâ out of nothing regarding these community sex offender treatment providers by generating sensationalist on-air news stories on this matter; by inviting public concern in showing TV news website links indicating âhow to locate a sex offender treatment provider in your areaâ; and providing on-site, bright lights coverage of small citizen group protests that give further support to the idea of forcing these sex offender treatment providers out of their current in-the-community locations all against the notion of public safety. Â
Â
In recent days, I have personally witnessed several citizen protester gatherings at one such facility (Whole Systems) in Portlandâs Sellwood district where the common sign message theme was to force out this particular and legitimate business operation that provides a valuable treatment service for sex offenders on probation and parole. After discussing the issues with several of these protesters where their main concern is that new sex crimes will be committed, they were simply not willing to accept well-known federal statistics to show that concern for registered sex offenders is overblown. Â
Â
As you are no doubt familiar, federal sex offender statistics tell us that registered sex offenders have nearly the lowest re-offense rates of all criminal categories (this should probably be described as VERY LOW); that the vast number of new sex offenses are committed by people NOT on the Sex Offender Registry (SOR) list; and that the vast number (about 85%) of new sex crimes against children are committed by somebody already known to the child victim (family members, friends, babysitters, etc.). Â
Â
In summary, I am requesting that your office weigh in and speak out on this issue so that Oregonâs sex offender treatment providers may continue to provide valuable services to the communityâs sex offenders without the harassment of uninformed citizen groups and the news media generating undeserved attention to these law-abiding treatment providers. Â
