PORTLAND, Ore. -- As the weather heats up, you might feel like heading out to a local park to get some fresh air, but how safe are parks in our area?

KATU's On Your Side Investigators dug up some crime statistics from over the last year about the areas in and around some popular local parks. The information is not particularly abnormal but something you may want to be aware of as you and your family head out to play.
