PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - There has been another serious injury involving a bicyclist in Portland.

Police say a woman driving westbound on Northeast Marine Drive collided with a 68-year-old bicyclist, who was later identified as Robert Verrinder. He is listed in critical condition at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Witnesses told police Verrinder was in a marked crosswalk but had failed to stop for a stop sign before crossing the street.

Verrinder was rushed into surgery with a life-threatening head injury. The driver of the car was not cited.
