EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A dark-colored pickup truck struck two female pedestrians in Eugene, killing one, as they walked together through a crosswalk.
     
It happened Thursday before 8 p.m. at 13th and Hilyard Street near the University of Oregon. Police say 45-year-old Lucy Lahr, of Eugene, was killed. And 44-year-old Susan Wehner, also of Eugene is being treated at Sacred Heart Hospital.
     
According to witness reports, the two women were walking through the crosswalk when the truck made a hard, accelerated left hand turn onto northbound Hilyard and struck them both. The pickup left the scene.
     
Police have a potential videotape of the crash to review for possible leads in the case.
     
Witnesses were interviewed and police are asking that anyone with information contact Officer Michael Klews at (541) 682-5154, extension 1193.
