One teen hurt in attack near Hillsboro MAX station
HILLSBORO, Ore. - Two juvenile boys were recovering Tuesday morning after authorities say they were attacked while walking home from a MAX light rail station the night before.
The attack happened Monday about 8 p.m. as two boys, ages 12 and 13, were leaving a MAX station near Hillsboro, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The boys say three older teens, described as one Hispanic and two black males, began following them.
According to the victims, one of the teens flashed a knife and another pulled out a heavy metal object, possibly a hammer or crowbar, and hit one of them in the forehead, cracking his skull. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office.
