Three cited in teen's alcohol-related death
McMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) _ Three McMinnville residents are facing charges in the alcohol poisoning death of a teenage father.
Julian Cecil Ortiz, 19, was found on a couch in a back room during a funeral wake last June. His blood-alcohol level was more than five times the legal limit.
Trevor Alan Tommila and his wife Savannah, both 21, are scheduled for a court hearing with 25-year-old Steven Daniel Segundo.
The Tommilas have each been cited for one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor. Segundo has only received a citation for allowing a minor to consume alcohol.
Ortiz was among more than a dozen people who had gathered the previous day to mourn the passing of Kristopher Becker of McMinnville, who died May 31 of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash.
