Most Amtrak service to resume Thursday

By KATU Web Staff

PORTLAND, Ore. - Amtrak says most of its service in the Pacific Northwest will resume Thursday - though passengers could experience delays.

Service between Portland and Vancouver, B.C., has been shut down since Monday due to this week's severe weather.

Amtrak says most Cascade service, which runs from Eugene to Vancouver, B.C., will resume except for trains 506 and 507, which won't operate between Portland and Seattle. Train 507 will only operate between Portland and Eugene.

Amtrak says passengers with reservations on the 506 and 507 will be put on different trains.

Also, the Coast Starlight and Empire Builder will operate but may have some delays.
