SALEM, Ore. - Animal control officials in Salem said 13 adult poodles removed from a Salem home last month will be available for adoption this week.

The dogs were taken from Kevin and Sarah Deal's home in Salem by police.

Police went to the home to investigate a child pornography case but found trash piled up inside and more than two dozen poodles in horrible conditions.

The couple faces animal neglect and criminal mistreatment charges.

Ten puppies are still recovering from illnesses and won't go up for adoption until after Christmas.
