WOODBURN, Ore. - School is out this week for students at Woodburn High School following a 4-alarm fire and for those in the community who want to help, we have some information to share.

Woodburn Proud, Inc., a local organization that was established after the Woodburn bank bombing in 2008, has received a number of inquiries about how folks can help out. Here's the information they sent us:

Volunteers

We have had an overwhelming request from volunteers to see what can be done to help.  We have been told there will be a meeting on Monday to determine what is happening with some student group activities. We will post more on that when we get the information.

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail your Name, Phone & E-mail address to woodburnproud@gmail.com so we can keep you informed. We ask that you share, to those interested, about our Facebook Page as we will be posting things there as soon as we get more information. After Monday, there should be better details of what volunteer opportunities are needed.

Donations

Many community members have been asking where they can make donations to help with the Bulldog Pride Fire Recovery. Donations will be accepted by Woodburn Proud, Inc. and all donations will be directed to the Bulldog Pride Fire Recovery. We have been advised that insurance will cover rebuilding and personal property but will not cover losses to student activities. All of the funds we receive will go to student activities. Please make checks payable to Woodburn Proud, Inc. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 212, Woodburn, Oregon 97071. Please make a notation on your donation “Bulldog Pride” so we can designate it to the correct funds. As a reminder, Woodburn Proud is a non-profit organization, and all donations to us are tax deductible. Check and cash donations can also be left at the following locations:
