PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland authorities say a 65-year-old man, described as a convicted murderer, bank robber and a career criminal has been finally arrested.

U.S. Marshals arrested Leroy Frady as he was leaving a store near Barbur Boulevard and Hamilton Street. He had been wanted on a state parole warrant since April, 2007.

Assistant Chief John Shoemaker of the U.S. Marshals Portland Office, spotted Frady boarding a trolley in Portland Wednesday afternoon.

Shoemaker followed the trolley and saw him get on a bus. He radioed for help. Leroy Frady was taken into custody as he left the store.

In the 1970s, Frady robbed a bank then car-jacked a 19-year-old woman at gun point and killed her. According to records, Frady was paroled in 2004.
