Police searching for missing mother

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police are searching for a Portland mother who has been missing for more than a week.

Heather Dawn Mallory, 32, was last seen the morning of March 8, when she got into an argument with her husband after a night out with friends and left her home. She has not been heard from since, which investigators believe is highly unusual for the mother of one child.

Police said she has no known history of mental illness or medical problems, and she was described as professional and responsible in her work habits.

As of Saturday, she had not used any of her bank or credit card accounts since disappearing, investigators said. There was also no evidence of foul play.

Mallory drove away in a bright red 2001 Ford Focus with Oregon plates of 061BZX. The car has a black-colored bike rack on the top and a child seat in the back seat.

Mallory was described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call 911 or Detective Mike Weinstein at (503) 823-0446.
