PORTLAND, Ore. - Police on Sunday were trying to figure out how a man's body ended up in Forest Park over the weekend.
A hiker found the body about 15 to 20 feet below Germantown Road shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday. Police did not say where the body was discovered in the 5,000-acre park.
Authorities were able to positively identify the body Saturday but withheld the name pending notification of next of kin.
An autopsy revealed no signs of homicidal violence, police said.
However, it appeared the man may have died at one location and was placed in the park, police said. Officials did not say what signs led them to believe that.
They were still investigating Sunday.
