Man with gun robs SE Portland movie theater multiplex
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Police are looking for a suspect they said robbed a Southeast Portland multiplex during broad daylight Wednesday.
Police said the man, described as a white male in his 40s or 50s, walked into the Century 16 theaters on SE 82nd Avenue at 12:30 p.m. and demanded money after showing he had a handgun in his waistband.
The suspect left the theater on foot after taking cash and a search of the area by police with canine units did not turn up a suspect.
Police said the suspect is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build, gray hair and was unshaven. They said he was wearing a dark green hoodie, blue jeans and a beanie-style cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Robbery Detail at 503- 823-0405.
Sad day when you gotta start looking into getting security cameras at the local cinema....
At least he demanded money. The way movies are these days soon somebody will just brandish a weapon and demand reasonable pricing and a clean floor that doesn't stick to the bottoms of their shoes...

Nice, real close to my home.

There is a lot of places to hide in that area. With the high school closed and alleys almost every other street there are tons of places to hide until the law endowment get bored and move on.
Â
And they get bored pretty quickly in that area.

If you've ever seen a drone strike, you would NOT want to be (literally) in the neighborhood.
Â
They aren't quite THAT accurate, particularly when they don't know what they are looking for!
