CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon State Police says a Medford boy injured a 65-year-old man while hunting for turkey west of Central Point.

Sgt. Kirk Meyer of the OSP's Fish and Wildlife Division says the 14-year-old used a shotgun to fire at a dark shape in the brush early Saturday. The man was hit twice from a distance of 50-65 yards.

The victim was taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center for treatment of about 130 pellet wounds.

Meyer says the boy was hunting with another teen and their fathers.

The case has been forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney's Office for review of possible charges.
