PORTLAND, Ore. - Homeless protesters in downtown Portland have received an ultimatum by the city - move on by Tuesday night or be forced out.

The protesters are in their third week of lining the streets outside City Hall.

They say they are allowed to be there because they are protesting but according to the city, they are camping and, therefore, breaking the law.

Although a 24-hour notice was issued on Monday, Mayor Tom Potter said that isn't so definite.

"We'll be talking with them," he said. "We'll be talking internally. No final decision has been made."
