PORTLAND, Ore. - The nation's most bike-friendly city (that would be Portland) will get a taste of professional racing over the next few days as the Mount Hood Cycling Classic take place from May 13 to May 18.
It's the first time the annual race has come off the mountain to include two stages in Portland.
Event locations include downtown Portland, Mt. Tabor in Portland, Mount Hood, Hood River, Dufur and The Dalles.
Cyclists will be tested by steep climbs, hot weather and fast downhill descents as they race for $25,000 in prize money.
