Police on scene of possible hostage situation in northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police are on the scene of a potential hostage situation at a home in northeast Portland.

The incident began earlier this evening during a spotting mission by TriMet police investigators, who had their eye on a man suspected of dealing drugs at the MAX stop at Northeast 82nd Avenue.

A foot pursuit ensued and now police believe the man is holed up inside a home with a possible hostage.
