PORTLAND, Ore. - Officers responding to a report of a stabbing in southeast Portland Saturday evening discovered a body in the front yard of a home, police said.

Police did not immediately identify who was killed.

The body was found outside a home in the 7300 block of Southeast Evergreen Street about 9:30 p.m.

Police would not say whether they had a suspect in custody. However, police said they believe the victim and suspect knew each other.

More details were expected to be released Sunday.
