The Oregon State Police and the Wasco County District Attorney's Office are asking for the public's help in locating a 22-year-old man from The Dalles who failed to appear Friday for a hearing related to rape, sodomy and sex abuse charges. The wanted suspect was not apprehended over the weekend.
Alejandro Morales Morales, age 22, was one of four suspects arrested related to a June 2007 rape in an orchard near The Dalles.
Cases against three of the suspects have been adjudicated, including convictions against two suspects last Friday following a jury trial.
Morales failed to appear June 27 for a suppression hearing in Wasco County Circuit Court and a judge issued a Failure to Appear arrest warrant.
Morales was last seen Saturday, June 21, in The Dalles. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5'6", 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a maroon 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse displaying Oregon license 471 CMV.
