ALOHA, Ore. - A man was stabbed in the stomach in Aloha Sunday night, apparently as part of a drug deal, authorities said.

Travis Larson, 20, was listed in critical condition at Oregon Health and Science University following the incident, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

It happened in the 4500 block of Southwest 175th Avenue about 9 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

When deputies arrived, they learned the suspect had left the scene. Deputies quickly located 19-year-old Ryan Clark of Beaverton in the area, and he told them the stabbing stemmed from a drug deal, the sheriff's office said.

Investigators were not able to immediately interview Larson to confirm that.

Clark was lodged in the Washington County jail on a first-degree assault charge.
