Police say woman stabbed roommate with scissors

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A woman is accused of stabbing her roommate with scissors during an argument, according to Corvallis police.

Police arrested Lana Shively-Stilwell, 40, on three counts of assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.

Police responded Tuesday evening to a report of a stabbing that occurred earlier in the day.

Investigators believe Shively-Stilwell and her roommate were arguing about a phone message Shively-Stilwell left with the victim's mother Monday night. As the roommate turned to walk away, police believe Shively Stilwell stabbed her multiple times with a pair of scissors.

The victim sustained puncture wounds, all of which were non-life threatening, according to police.
